The Future is Analog
Jiu Jitsu isn't

it's played.
Analog represents the human side of training. Pressure, timing, and connection — things you can't learn from a screen.
We use a modern, constraints-led approach that helps students learn through live training and exploration, building real skill that lasts.
Train smarter. Move better. Grow with intention. No reps for the sake of reps — every round has a purpose.
We would love to see you at any class that works for your schedule! All you have to do is walk in the door (which is arguably the hardest part) and we'll take care of the rest.
The way we run our classes means that no matter what level you are - total beginner to seasoned black belt - you will be able to easily follow along and you'll have a blast. We base our instruction around task focuses, meaning that you don't need to understand jiu jitsu to be able to learn and have fun.
Owner / Instructor
Training since 2016 and currently holds brown belt. After discovering the Constraints-Led Approach, his perspective on instruction shifted — training became less about memorizing techniques and more about exploration, timing, and problem-solving.
Outside the gym, he's a storm chaser with a long history in the music industry — from promoter to spending eight years managing hip hop artists on the road.
Movement, rhythm, and energy have always been part of his world — on the road, in the weather, and now on the mats.
BJJ & Muay Thai Instructor
Brown belt in BJJ who has been simultaneously training Muay Thai along the journey. She assists with women's self defense workshops, Muay Thai classes, and BJJ classes when stepping up to cover.
An amazing spirit at the academy. Her passion for both arts brings a unique perspective to training.
Instructor
Ches Calloway has trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2012 and earned his black belt in 2025. Along the way, he has competed, taught adult and youth classes, and trained with practitioners from a variety of grappling disciplines.
Drawing from his experience as a chess coach and yoga teacher, Ches is fascinated by how people learn complex skills. He enjoys creating focused learning experiences that help students build adaptable Jiu-Jitsu through movement, problem-solving, and live training.
Instructor
Gio originally found Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu because he wanted a practical form of self defense, but it quickly became more than that. He has now been training for 4 years and after about two years into training, he discovered ecological dynamics and the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA). It completely changed the way he thinks about skill development. He has always enjoyed studying the learning process as much as the techniques themselves, so he spends countless hours looking for better ways to improve.
What started as a few training sessions with curious partners eventually led him to meet Scott, who was just as invested in this approach. Since then, they've been exploring what a more representative, athlete-centered way of training can look like and sharing that journey with others.

It is a martial art that focuses on taking your opponent to the ground, controlling them via a series of pins and holds, and finally applying a submission hold. The art prioritizes technique and leverage over strength and athleticism. It can be used for both sport grappling and self-defense situations.
Thai boxing is also known as the "art of the 8 limbs." It utilizes strikes with the fists, elbows, knees, and shins. Fighters throw punches, kicks, elbows and knees. Fighters grapple in standing clinches. Fighters use foot sweeps to knock their opponents down. Muay Thai is highly effective for self-defense scenarios. Its also an intense workout.
No need, you'll get in shape over time. The classes are movement and cardio based. Coupled with a proper diet you will naturally get in shape and your cardio will increase. Its a fun and dynamic workout on top of it all.

Jiu Jitsu originated in Japan where the "Gi" or "Kimono" was prevalent in the martial art scene. It is a martial arts uniform that can withstand the constant throws and material gripping required by Jiu Jitsu. As Jiu Jitsu integrated with Mixed Martial Arts and self defense it made more sense to simulate these situations in rash guards and shorts. This is known as "No Gi" and is our sole focus at Analog.
A t-shirt and athletic shorts or leggings are fine for the first class. Eventually, you will want at least 1 rash guard and grappling shorts and spats. But we can help you with all of that after your first class.
It's important to take care of yourself and your teammates. Make sure you wash your gear as soon as possible after class, keep your finger and toenails trimmed, and please no shoes on the mat
